Karen Driscoll, soprano, has performed title operatic roles across North America including Massenet’s Manon, Floyd’s Susannah, Handel’s Agrippina, Mimi & Musetta (La Bohème), Tatyana (Eugene Onegin), Juliette (Romèo et Juliette),Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Nedda (I Pagliacci), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Despina (Cosi fan tutte), Micaëla (Carmen), Antonia (Les Contes d’Hoffman), Sieglinde and Gutrune in Jonathan Dove’s Ring Saga, and Elle (La voix humaine).
Equally at home on the concert stage, Ms. Driscoll’s soprano soloist repertoire includes Gabriel/Eve in Die Schöpfung (Haydn), Messiah, (Handel), Ninth Symphony, Choral Fantasia (Beethoven) and Petite messe solennelle (Rossini), Appalachian Requiem (Conley) and Dona Nobis Pacem (V. Williams).
Ms. Driscoll has sung with Seattle Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Florentine Opera, Opéra de Montréal, Vancouver Opera, Virginia Opera, Baltimore Opera, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, National Lyric Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, Opera Columbus, Toledo Opera, Opera Carolina, Hawaii Opera Theater, New Jersey State Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Long Beach
Opera, Worcester Chorus and Masterwork Chorus. She is currently the Head of Artistic Operations/Opera at Montclair State University, John J. Cali School of Music where she also is a Professor of Voice.
