An active performer with performances reviewed as “theatrically meaningful”,“beautiful, compelling, and inspired” and“sterling”. Her solo appearances include work with Princeton Pro Musica, Tempesta di Mare, the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra; the Berkshire Bach Society, the Spoleto Festivals of Charleston, SC, and Spoleto, Italy, working with Gian Carlo Menotti, The Mostly Mozart Festival, and the Philadelphia Orchestra under the batons of Stéphane Denève, Bobby McFerrin and Charles Dutoit. She made her Alice Tully debut in Copland’s “In the Beginning” at the New York Philharmonic’s Copland Festival and made her Carnegie Hall debut in performances of Messiah with the Masterwork Chorus of New Jersey and happily returns this December. Her recital work includes recent performances with the Fringe Festival of Philadelphia, the formation of the Polyvoce Quartet with frequent performances in the greater Philadelphia region, and the Voices at Play trio with soprano Krys Cooper and pianist Erik Meyer. Current professional affiliations include annual appearances at the Carmel Bach Festival of California, Fuma Sacra Ensemble, Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, The Philadelphia Chorale, Church of the Holy Trinity, Episcopal Church in Philadelphia, and Har Zion Synagogue. Alyson holds degrees from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (MM and Artist Diploma in Opera) and Westminster Choir College (BM) and maintains a private voice studio in Philadelphia, PA.
