Individual

Individual Donations

The Masterwork Chorus is one of the premier choral groups in the New York metropolitan area. The chorus is especially well known for its performances of choral masterworks, which form the core of our repertoire. But we believe that it is important to introduce people to beautiful music that is less well known, and to bring choral music to the community through outreach and music education.

To achieve our mission, we need your help. Ticket sales alone support only part of the costs of our performances and programs. We rely on gifts from individuals like you to help with general operating expenses. Click the button to donate through you credit card or bank account. Simply fill out the form. You may also send a check to: The Masterwork Chorus, PO Box 2167, Morristown, NJ 07962-2167.

All donations are appreciated and promptly acknowledged. Individual donation levels with benefits start at just $50. And are recognized in our concert programs.

Double the Impact:

Many companies offer matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees, often dollar for dollar. To find out if your company has a matching gift program, simply inquire with your company’s human resources department to determine their guidelines.

By naming the Masterwork Chorus as a beneficiary, your gift to our Annual Fund will make a greater impact to the cultural life of our community.

Donor Advised Funds allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund to their selected charity over time. Clients of Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon can easily make a designation to the Masterwork Chorus through the DAF Direct window on this page.

Foundation

Foundation Giving

The Masterwork Chorus is very appreciative of our charitable partnerships with private and corporate foundations to benefit the mission of the chorus. Funding from these Foundations support general operating and direct program expenses related to choral music performances and community outreach activities.

ReachOut, since 1999, has been the cornerstone of our outreach activities, The program has enhanced the lives of more than 3,500 senior citizens and residents of healthcare facilities by bringing the joy of music directly to them. Summer Sings and Messiah Sing provide all adult music lovers with the opportunity to sing through the cornerstones of the choral music repertoire. Community residents join together and sing choral classics under the direction of the area’s most respected conductors, with professional accompanist and soloists. Local students are welcome to attend and many do so along with their music teachers.

Educational initiatives include preconcert lectures, website informational materials, program notes for upcoming concerts and choral workshops for adult music lovers.

For more information on how your company can join our growing circle of sponsors please contact info@masterwork.org.

Corporate

Corporate Sponsorship

Sponsoring a Masterwork Chorus concerts provides businesses the opportunity to connect with our audience members to build brand consciousness for your product, while at the same time associate your business as a supporter of the cultural arts in the community.

Concert sponsors receive several promotional activities including prominent visibility through onsite signage, appropriate recognition on printed materials, premium seating, pre-concert receptions, select media coverage and inclusion on the Masterwork Chorus website.

We are aware of and sensitive to the fact that in addition to benefiting choral performances, return on investment is critical. Our staff works individually with each sponsor to design the right sponsorship package, ensuring established corporate brand and target market needs are met.

Legacy

Legacy Gifts

Masterwork has established the Handel Society, to recognize and honor individuals who have made a financial commitment to ensure that presentations of fine choral music will continue for generations to come by honoring the Masterwork Chorus with a gift to the endowment or the chorus through planned giving.

Handel Society members become a lasting part of the Masterwork family. Members are invited to special exclusive members-only events. Member gifts are highlighted in our communications, and memberships are publicly acknowledged when appropriate.

A planned gift makes a lasting impact not only on the future of our esteemed chorus, but also on the community through Masterwork’s dedication toward its mission to delight audiences and enrich lives through the exploration and performance of great choral music. Planned gifts are donations set up in the present, perhaps through your will, but distributed later as part of your estate. They offer multiple tax benefits for you, and leave a lasting legacy advantageous to 501(c)(3) organizations, especially as government funding for the arts becomes less and less reliable.

The Masterwork Chorus accepts several types of planned gifts: bequests and living trusts, charitable remainder and lead trusts, marketable securities, beneficiary designation of IRA and retirement plans, insurance policies and donor advised funds.

If you have already recognized Masterwork in your plans, please let us know. If you have not yet put a planned gift in place for The Masterwork Chorus, we can provide you with appropriate information to help you decide what type of planned gift works best for you. Please act now to provide fine music for future generations. Your generosity now defines Masterwork’s future.
